From The Archives: Danny Creadon
Danny Creadon, from my 2008 Summer Tour. One of my favorite pics ever. For those of you who don't know [but, damn well should], Danny's the owner, mold-maker, presser, shaper, finisher, and screener at his company, Factory 13 Skateboards. And, Factory 13 is all about making highly experimental, fully custom skateboards. I'm not sure if there's anyone around that does it better than Danny (although, a lot of us sure have tried...). Danny is a totally hands-on guy, and Factory 13 is the product of those capable hands.
Danny represents the very best of skateboarding's Do-It-Yourself Old School... where anything and everything is fully possible, so long as you put your whole head and heart into it. Danny does amazing shit on a regular basis, and he makes it look so f'n easy. And, stylish. Danny's got personal style for miles, man. His enthusiasm rubs off on you, and makes you believe that you can do the impossible, too. Just gotta get your hands dirty, that's all...
Danny's a choice human being, just the awesomest dude you'd ever wanna meet. The midwest lost something special, when Danny headed westward bound some time back. Danny? I miss ya, buddy. Hope all's well, wherever you are...
