Busy Spring Ahead...!
Sorry I've slacked on The Blogging for a couple weeks, but what with trying to squeeze in some final days at Perfect North before the Big Spring Thaw hits, and an ambitious summer tour ahead of me... it's a lot of work, just keeping up with the day-to-day. Recent goings on include:
- Writing a whole series of essays, titled "Let's Talk Shop", which focuses on the plight of the core skate retailer...
- Getting some slush-runs in at Perfect, while hanging out, tailgating, munching, slashing, and generally wreaking havoc with The Good Vibe Tribe...
- Planning my now-annual Summer Tour, which includes documenting skateparks all across the midwest for the guys at Concrete Disciples, and visiting skateshops in an effort to bring them into The Collective (A "skateshop-union" that several midwest skateshops are working toward forming, and I'm helping out with)...
- Working, paying bills, getting the taxes done, walking the dog, etc...
- And, for the first time this year: Skateboarding!
First Trips Of The Year:
No rock-solid timeline for these, as a lot of it depends on weather, finances, etc... but, the first round of trips this year will include:
- Louisville, KY
- Dayton, OH
- Champaign, Urbana, and Danville, Illinois (with stops in Terre Haute to skate, and see Liz and Jer)
- Bloomington, Peoria, and Normal, Illinois
- North Central Indiana (Cicero, Elwood, Tipton, Knox, Kokomo, etc...)
- Southwest Indiana (Bloomington, Bedford, Paoli, Tell City, Evansville, Vincennes...)
- And, Near-Northern Indianapolis (Crawfordsville, Noblesville, Cicero, Sheridan, Peru, Lebanon, Lapel, etc...)
