Stats:

Photobucket

This week, Everything Skateboarding had 411 unique visitors, 637 pageviews, and an average visit length of 3:41. We'd like to thank every single one of our readers for taking the time to check out our hard-to-find little corner of the internet.

According to our stats-counter, we're on track to hit between 1440 and 2160 unique visitors, and between 2160 and 5760 pageviews in November. That's crazy! We're so, so stoked.

The international readership continues to constantly surprise us. This week, we had readers from Australia, Signapore, Japan, Canada, Germany, Scotland, England, Belgium, and Russia.

It might not seem like any sort of huge accomplishment to most "internet geeks" to attract a mere four-hundred-or-so readers a week. But, compare that to my first-ever 'zine project, the incredibly short-lived "Alley-Oop!" skatezine, circa 2000 or so. I say "or so", because there's no date on it anywhere... a perfect example of my perpetual short-sightedness. I don't remember whether we printed fifty, or a hundred copies of this first issue... but either way, it wasn't very many at all. And you probably never saw it if you weren't a personal friend of mine, or if you lived anywhere outside of New England. The pass-along rate was probably next to nothing, and there weren't any advertisers at all. That's Concord, New Hampshire local Mike Chwaziac on the cover by the way, kickflipping one of the Concord High School parking lot gaps. Mike was a ripper: He also had an inside photo of a halfcab heelflip to noseslide. Chwaz: If you're out there somewhere, drop me a line sometime.

My good friend and confidante, Alex Downes, once told me that "A life well-lived deserves to be documented". It's really good advice. And in hindsight, I'm damn glad that I took it.
