The Better Letter Contest...!

Photobucket

Here's the deal: So, I went to the Vans Warped Tour in Indianapolis (Noblesville, if you wanna get all technical about it...) this week, as a guest of Concrete Wave Magazine. I guess my whole job was to volunteer to help with the booth, watch the show, hang out with some rock stars, and do some roving reporting on the whole Concrete Wave "Passport Program". What I ended up doing, though- besides all of that stuff- was collecting a shit-ton of promotional swag.

Now, this isn't all bad. I like free swag just as much as the next cheap-ass skater. But, there does come a point where too much of a good thing is just too damn much. And, that's where The Solitary Life comes in to save the day.

What I've decided to do with all of my new-found freebies, is to dole them up into ten mega-sized prize packs, and use those for contest prizes.

So: What's the "contest", you ask?! Oh, nothing too taxing. I just realized last week that, as much mail as we get... we only get so much of the "good" stuff in the 'ol inbox. So, the contest is simple: We want better letters...! And we're not afraid to reward your hard-ass work, either.

Ten prize-packs, up for grabs. Mostly stickers, patches, and a couple of pretty valuable coupons that really should have been snatched up faster than they were at Warped (the Riviera one alone is worth around forty bucks). The unwitting "sponsors" of this little competition are Concrete Wave Magazine, Riviera Longboards, Bamboo Skate, Hamboards, Abec 11, Vans (of course), and Drawn Skateboards.

The contest ends at the end of July (mostly because, the Riviera coupon expires August 31st). Get on it!

Send all letters to thesolitarylife@aol.com. And just for shits and giggles, go ahead make the subject line "Give me free swag!" Long live anarchy...!
