Folks, we have a show...!
The summit is [finally] set for Saturday, May 14th, 2011 through Sunday, May 15th, 2011. The venue? Ollie's Skatepark in Florence, Kentucky.
The available space for this show is staggering: 12,000 square feet of indoor warehouse space, directly adjacent to their indoor skatepark. This makes the show weatherproof, accessible to the public (if this is desired by the exhibitors), and skate-accessible for all attendees. Just leave the gate, and go rip.
The space also has convenient loading-dock access, for those loading or unloading bulky materials into or out of the summit site.
Retailers and exhibitors can pre-register at homegrownsummit@yahoo.com.
Admittance to the show is free for all retailers and working media.
Exhibitors: Booth deposits have been set at $200 per booth space. Booths will comprise of pop-up tents (provided by the exhibitors). Electrical power, display tables, ample on-site parking, and recycling options will be provided for all exhibitors. This fee will be due upon conformation, and is a non-refundable deposit. Exhibitors can request multiple booth spaces, and all space will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve, first-right-of-refusal basis.
We will be publishing the final pre-registration list around January 15th, 2011. We'll be asking for confirmations and deposits at that time. Whether the show goes forward as scheduled at this point, depends entirely on retailer interest and pre-registration.
45 skateboard brands have already pre-registered for the show. Although space is relatively plentiful, be aware that space is also being optioned very, very quickly.
If we come in substantially under budget (and, it looks like this very well may be the case): Refund checks will be sent back to the exhibitors, based on their original deposit amounts.
From here on out, all questions, concerns, and comments can go to the homegrownsummit@yahoo.com e-mail address.
